Optimal Strategix adds new directors
Optimal Strategix Group, a strategy consulting and analytics company, has added Samuel Morasca, Jr., a senior partner of SOLIDexecutive Inc., and David Motley, a senior managing director of Headwaters SC, to its board of directors.

Throughout his career, Morasca has managed P&L’s ranging from $500 million to $19 billion in revenues. After a successful tenure with Shell Oil Co., operating in both U.S. and international assignments in the areas of business management, strategic planning, and sales and marketing, he now serves as an advisor, active board member and chairman of middle-market, privately held companies. In addition, Morasca serves as a director of Cornerstone Records Management LLC, Atlantic Industrial Inc. and VisaNow.com Inc. and is an executive professor at the University of Houston Graduate Business School.

Motley has over 30 years of corporate and executive experience, which concluded with the role of vice president and general manager of Covidien Surgical Devices in 2009. He was responsible for franchise management, portfolio management, and strategy for its $1.5 billion portfolio of surgical products. Prior to that, Motley was vice president and general manager for Respironics. Motley also held various senior level positions with Alcoa and PPG. In addition, he is a major equity holder in the BlueTree Venture Fund, a fund investing in early stage medical and IT companies.

Headquartered in Newtown, Pa., Optimal Strategix Group currently has sales offices in New York, Brussels, Belgium and Bangalore, India.
