New Delhi– India’s leading stock exchange BSE on Tuesday said bond issuers using its debt platforms raised Rs 77,955 crore of debt capital till October 17 in the current fiscal year.
“BSE platforms for bond issuances have been a preferred choice for companies to raise debt capital in India. In this financial year 2016-17, till October 17, 2016, 35 issuers have done 148 issues of bonds and have successfully raised Rs 77,955 crore using our debt platforms,” a statement of the stock exchange said.
The exchange, on July 1, had launched the platform for electronic book mechanism for issuance of debt securities on private placement basis.
Axis Bank Limited on Monday, successfully raised Rs 5,000 crore by issuing bonds on private placement basis using the debt platforms.
