Hyderabad– Top global pharma firms including Johnson & Johnson, Novartis and GSK have confirmed participation in 14th BioAsia, scheduled to be held here from February 6, officials said.
Organized by the Telangana government, the three-day event will bring together eminent industry leaders from across the globe.
BioAsia 2017 is expected to have participation of 1,500 delegates from 50 countries with 100 high profile speakers and 800 corporates.
Paul Stoffels, Worldwide Chairman of Pharmaceuticals and Chief Scientific Officer, Johnson & Johnson, Vasant Narasimhan, Global Head of Drug Development and Chief Medical Officer for Novartis, Patrick Vallance, President Worldwide Pharmaceuticals and R&D, GSK will be among the key participants.
Deloitte will be the Knowledge Partner for the event, for which the state Department of Industries and Commerce is making all arrangements.
“The flagship event of Telangana has emerged as the largest life science event in India and one of the pre-eminent meetings in Asia,” said Shakthi Nagappan, CE, BioAsia.
BioAsia2016 had witnessed participation of around 1,300 registered delegates from 50 countries. It also conducted around 1,200 trade, partnership and deliberation meetings at the event. The 2017 edition will also have a Buyer Seller Meet wherein a large number of international buyers will participate.
