New Delhi— The IndiaAI Mission, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has announced a strategic partnership with Intel India to advance artificial intelligence capabilities and expand skilling initiatives across the country.

The agreement, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on Friday, aims to equip students, professionals, startups, and public sector leaders with the tools and knowledge to harness the power of AI. The collaboration reflects a shared vision to promote AI readiness, support emerging startups, and enhance AI-driven governance in India.

Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at MeitY and CEO of the IndiaAI Mission, said the mission is committed to establishing India as a global leader in AI through inclusive innovation and responsible AI development. He highlighted that the collaboration with Intel will include setting up a data lab to train youth in AI and data science, building on the success of initiatives like YuvaAI, which has already introduced thousands of students to AI fundamentals.

The partnership will support a range of programs focused on early education, entrepreneurship, and public sector engagement, while also enabling the expansion of Bhashini—India’s multilingual AI platform—to remote classrooms across the country.

Santhosh Viswanathan, Vice President and Managing Director of Intel India, called the collaboration a key milestone in building a robust AI ecosystem. He emphasized Intel’s commitment to equipping the next generation with cutting-edge AI skills and fostering innovation that delivers broad societal benefits.

The initiative marks a significant step toward accelerating AI adoption and developing a future-ready workforce in India. (Source: IANS)
