BOSTON—Serial entrepreneur and philanthropist Venkat Srinivasan and fellow entrepreneur Santhana Krishnan will speak at the inaugural India Lecture Series at Northeastern University in Boston on April 27. The event is organized by Northeastern University Center for Emerging Markets.
The topic of the lecture is: The Other One Percent: Indians in America. It will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at McLeod Suites, located on the 3rd floor of Curry Student Center at 360 Huntington Ave. in Boston.
The key speaker is Prof. Devesh Kapur, ML Sobti Professor of Political Science and Director of Center for Advanced Study of India at University of Pennsylvania. He is Co-author of The Other One Percent: Indians in America, published by Oxford, 2016.
Indian-American entrepreneurs Srinivasan and Krishnan will comment. Krishnan is president of Cimcon Lighting, and Srinivasan is a serial entrepreneur and Vice Chair of American India Foundation. Srinivasan is also the founder of eCredit.com, Rage Frameworks, English Helper, and other companies.
The lecture will be moderated by Prof. Ravi Ramamurti of Northeastern University.
