New Delhi– India has the world’s most active workforce in artificial intelligence use, with 80 percent of employees using AI several times a week and 41 percent using it daily, according to a new report.

The ADP report found that 31 percent of Indian employees expect AI to positively affect their job responsibilities over the next year, making India one of the most optimistic markets globally.

Frequent AI users reported higher workplace engagement and lower stress than non-users. However, they were also more likely to question their own productivity.

Knowledge workers were the most optimistic, with 37 percent expecting AI to positively affect their roles, compared with 21 percent of skilled task workers and 19 percent of repetitive task workers.

Younger employees led adoption, with 43 percent of workers ages 18 to 39 using AI almost every day. Women also reported higher daily usage than men, at 44 percent compared with 40 percent.

AI adoption remained strong across companies of all sizes, with daily usage reaching 54 percent among employees at large enterprises.

“Indian employees are embracing AI faster than their global peers across industries, age groups and company sizes,” the report said.

“India’s leadership in workplace AI adoption shows that employees are eager to embrace technologies that can help them work smarter and create greater value,” said Rahul Goyal, Managing Director of ADP India and Southeast Asia.

The report urged employers to move beyond simply adopting AI and focus on effective implementation and workforce training. (Source: IANS)
