New Delhi — Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation reported largely flat profit for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, even as revenue posted strong double-digit growth.
The state-owned company said consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 30 stood at Rs 330 crore, down 0.3% from Rs 331 crore in the same period a year earlier.
Revenue from operations increased 18.1% year over year to Rs 1,370 crore, compared with Rs 1,160 crore in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, according to a regulatory filing.
Operating performance, however, weakened during the quarter. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization fell 2.7% to Rs 387 crore from Rs 397 crore a year earlier.
IRCTC’s EBITDA margin narrowed to 28.2% from 34.3% in the year-ago quarter.
Shares of IRCTC closed Wednesday at Rs 510.75, up 0.83%. The stock has gained 1.73% over the past month but remains down 17.89% over the past six months and 25.51% so far this year.
