HG Infra Engineering Swings to Q1 Loss as Revenue Falls 26%

Mumbai — H.G. Infra Engineering reported a consolidated net loss for the first quarter of fiscal 2027 as revenue declined sharply, although operating profit increased on stronger margins.

The Jaipur-based infrastructure company posted a net loss of Rs 45.1 crore for the quarter, compared with a net profit of Rs 98.8 crore in the same period a year earlier.

Revenue from operations fell 25.8% year over year to Rs 1,101 crore from Rs 1,482 crore.

Despite the weaker revenue, EBITDA rose 17% to Rs 304 crore from Rs 260 crore a year earlier. The EBITDA margin expanded to 27.6% from 17.5%, an improvement of 1,010 basis points.

The results were announced after market hours. Shares of H.G. Infra Engineering were trading at Rs 557, up Rs 9.20. The stock has gained 1.99% over the past five days.

Founded in 2003, H.G. Infra Engineering is an engineering, procurement and construction company with operations across roads, highways, railways, metro systems, solar energy and power transmission.

The company undertakes projects through both EPC and Hybrid Annuity Model routes and operates across more than 13 states.

Its core business includes expressways, national highways, bridges and railway and metro infrastructure. H.G. Infra has also expanded into renewable energy and power infrastructure, including solar projects, battery energy storage systems and power transmission and distribution.
