Kolkata– The Union Human Resource Development Ministry has issued a circular to educational institutions, including the IITs, to receive payments in digital mode, officials said on Monday.
“We have received a circular from the ministry that all payments ‘must’ be received in digital mode,” an official at the IIT-Kharagpur told IANS.
The circular follows the central government’s demonetisation initiative.
