Mumbai — Shares of Alpine Textworld have fallen nearly 47% from their issue price just over a month after the textile company made its stock market debut.
The company listed on the National Stock Exchange on July 21 at Rs 105 per share, matching the upper end of its IPO price band of Rs 100 to Rs 105.
Selling pressure began immediately, with the stock hitting its 5% lower circuit on its first day of trading. It subsequently hit seven more consecutive 5% lower circuits, falling to about Rs 69 within eight trading sessions.
The decline continued through August, pushing the stock below Rs 60.
Alpine Textworld shares closed Tuesday at Rs 55.84 on the NSE, down 2.6% from the previous session. At that price, the stock was 46.81% below its IPO issue and listing price of Rs 105.
The company launched its mainboard IPO from July 14 to July 16, raising Rs 126.25 crore through an entirely fresh issue of shares.
Alpine Textworld reported total income of Rs 90.32 crore for the April-June quarter, according to financial results released Aug. 14. Profit after tax was Rs 4.37 crore, while total expenses stood at Rs 84.23 crore.
For the full 2025-26 financial year, the company reported total income of Rs 350.18 crore, EBITDA of Rs 47.45 crore and profit after tax of Rs 21.72 crore.
