Ahmedabad — Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said Thursday that remaining committed to one’s values and convictions is especially important during defining moments, as he reflected on trust, sacrifice and responsibility ahead of India’s Independence Day.
“There are times when the most important thing you can do is stay true to what you know, what you value and what you believe in,” Adani said in his Independence Day address.
Adani said August 15 represents more than a celebration of India’s freedom, describing it as an occasion for gratitude and reflection on the sacrifices that made the country’s transformation possible.
“That is why August 15th is not merely a day of celebration for me; it is also a day of gratitude. And perhaps this gratitude teaches us another profound lesson of life: that no major transformation occurs without sacrifice, nor without patience,” he said.
He also emphasized the importance of trust, saying it is built over time through actions, commitments and character. Those principles, he said, have shaped his own journey and continue to influence how people across the Adani Group work together.
As part of the company’s Independence Day observances, more than 300,000 employees and partners participated in “Apni Baat Apno Ke Saath,” an initiative focused on the organization’s shared journey and the values of trust, character and commitment.
Adani also praised workers and young engineers involved in major infrastructure and development projects across India.
Recalling interactions with employees at Khavda, Gujarat, where the group is developing a massive renewable energy project, Adani said their efforts demonstrate not only professional commitment but also pride in contributing to projects with broader national significance. (Source: IANS)
