New Delhi — Samsung on Monday introduced a 30-month no-cost installment plan for its latest foldable smartphones, seeking to make the premium devices more accessible to consumers in India.
The financing offer applies to the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. Customers can purchase the devices with no down payment, the company said.
Samsung said the longer repayment period is intended to reduce monthly ownership costs and broaden access to its newest foldable smartphones, which include Galaxy AI features and upgrades in design, durability and performance.
The latest Galaxy Z series builds on seven generations of foldable-device development and incorporates customer feedback to provide a more refined user experience, according to the company.
The smartphones feature improvements in hinge technology, display engineering and durability, along with flagship-level performance and AI-powered capabilities.
Under the financing program, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is available with monthly payments starting at Rs 6,667. Samsung said the payment is about 9% lower than the monthly installment for the previous-generation Galaxy Z Fold7.
Monthly installments for the Galaxy Z Fold8 start at Rs 6,000, while the Galaxy Z Flip8 is available from Rs 4,167 per month.
The 30-month no-cost installment option is available through Samsung Finance+, powered by DMI Finance, as well as TVS Credit, IDFC FIRST Bank and Poonawalla Fincorp.
Samsung said the extended repayment period gives consumers greater flexibility and allows them to purchase premium foldable devices without making a large upfront payment.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at Rs 199,999 and is available in Violet Shadow, Graphite, Cream and Green Shadow. Green Shadow is offered exclusively online.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is priced from Rs 179,999 and is available in Lavender, Graphite, Cream and the online-exclusive Pistachio color.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 starts at Rs 124,999 and comes in Pink, Graphite, Cream and Mint, with Mint available exclusively online. (Source: IANS)
