Mumbai — Jio Platforms Limited, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, has filed its Red Herring Prospectus (RHP) with the Registrar of Companies in Gujarat, clearing another major step toward its highly anticipated initial public offering (IPO), which will open for subscription on October 21.

The filing follows the submission of the company’s Draft Red Herring Prospectus in June and the receipt of regulatory observations from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in August.

In a stock exchange filing, Reliance Industries confirmed that Jio Platforms submitted its final prospectus on October 14.

The IPO will consist of a fresh issue of up to 270 million equity shares with a face value of 10 rupees each.

The company has reserved shares worth up to 5 billion rupees ($60 million) for eligible employees and up to 25 billion rupees ($300 million) for eligible Reliance Industries shareholders.

The shareholder reservation will be available to individual investors and Hindu Undivided Families who held publicly traded Reliance Industries shares as of October 14, subject to applicable regulations.

According to the company’s announced schedule, bidding for anchor investors will take place on October 19. The public subscription period will begin October 21 and conclude October 23.

“The Anchor Investor Bidding Date is Monday, October 19, 2026. The IPO will open for subscription on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 and shall close on Friday, October 23, 2026,” the company said in its filing.

Jio Platforms oversees Reliance Jio’s telecommunications operations and a portfolio of digital businesses, making it a central component of Reliance Industries’ consumer and technology strategy.

The planned public offering is expected to provide Reliance Industries with an opportunity to unlock value from its rapidly expanding digital services business. (Source: IANS)
