Bengaluru– Drug maker Sanofi India Ltd on Friday appointed its wholetime Director N. Rajaram as Managing Director from January 1.
“Under Rajaram’s leadership, our diabetes business doubled and we gained foothold in the consumer healthcare sector,” said the company in a statement here.
Rajaram succeeds Shailesh Ayyangar, who will be company’s new head in the Asia region after 12 years as its Managing Director.
Rajaram, who joined the company in February 2014, was made Director in October 2015.
An alumnus of the Harvard Business School, Rajaram earlier worked with FMCG major Hindustan Unilver and telecom behemoth Airtel.
“As a global organisation, Sanofi is focused on delivering transformational outcomes for patients based on innovation and improved access to healthcare solutions,” said Rajaram.
Ayyangar hoped the company would scale new heights and serve patients across the country under Rajaram’s leadership. (IANS)
