New Delhi– Tesla on Monday announced the launch of North India’s first in-mall charging facility in Delhi as the electric vehicle maker continues to expand its charging network in India.

The new charging site, located at Nexus Select CityWalk, is equipped with six destination chargers, each offering 11 kW of AC charging. The facility allows Tesla owners to charge their vehicles while shopping or dining.

Tesla said the facility, located in the mall’s P1 parking area, is designed for high reliability, with 99.95 percent uptime.

With the new site, Tesla now operates six charging locations across India, including 20 superchargers and 20 destination chargers.

The company has also opened a pop-up store at the mall from July 6 to July 10, where visitors can view the newly launched Model Y L and the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive through guided walkarounds, product demonstrations and test drives.

The Model Y L is a six-seat, all-wheel-drive electric SUV with a three-row layout and a claimed driving range of up to 681 kilometers under the WLTP standard. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds and is priced from Rs 61.99 lakh, the company said.

The 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive seats up to five passengers and offers a claimed range of up to 500 kilometers under the WLTP standard. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and is priced from Rs 50.89 lakh.

Tesla said both models have received top safety ratings from global assessment agencies, including the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, Euro NCAP, ANCAP and C-IASI.

The company said both vehicles are now available for booking through its official website, and home charging support is available across all states in India. (Source: IANS)
