Pine Labs’ First-Quarter Profit Falls 67% Sequentially

New Delhi–Pine Labs reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 19.57 crore for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, down 67% from the previous quarter despite higher revenue.

The fintech company had posted a net profit of Rs 59.36 crore in the January-March quarter of fiscal 2026.

Compared with the same period a year earlier, however, net profit rose more than fourfold from Rs 4.79 crore, supported by stronger income.

Revenue from operations increased to Rs 736.92 crore in the April-June quarter from Rs 700.51 crore in the preceding quarter and Rs 615.91 crore a year earlier.

Total income rose to Rs 765.87 crore from Rs 741.44 crore in the previous quarter and Rs 653.08 crore in the year-ago period.

Expenses also increased, reaching Rs 728.14 crore compared with Rs 681.92 crore in the preceding quarter and Rs 657.86 crore a year earlier.

Profit before tax fell to Rs 31.73 crore from Rs 68.41 crore in the previous quarter but was significantly higher than the Rs 4.84 crore reported a year ago.

The company recorded a tax expense of Rs 12.16 crore during the quarter.

Shares of Pine Labs closed Tuesday at Rs 153 on the BSE, up 1.18%.

Despite the gain, the stock has remained under pressure since the company’s listing in November 2025. It has fallen 25.58% over the past three months, 33.61% over six months and 34.95% so far this year.

By comparison, the benchmark Sensex declined 0.16% over three months, 6.77% over six months and 9.89% year to date. (Source: IANS)
