Bengaluru–Global software major Wipro on Tuesday announced joining Oracle’s cloud managed service provider programme to help enterprises build a scalable hybrid IT model for digital growth.
“Our boundary-less data centre offering is based on transformational approach to enable enterprise ITaaS (IT as a Service) through a universal marketplace,” the city-based IT outsourcing firm said in a statement here.
The company’s data centre is integrated with Oracle IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) services and provides a unified platform to drive hybrid IT journey for enterprises by enabling dynamic sourcing, automated provisioning, monitoring and management.
“We will build standard reference architectures, workload blueprints and deploy solutions for accelerated cloud transformation with Oracle,” the statement noted.
Wipro is a diamond level member of Oracle partner network and has a cloud select designation.
The Oracle programme enables its members to offer a complete managed service solution for workloads running on its platform as a service and infrastructure as a service.
“Our data centre platform provides end-to-end life cycle services across Oracle IaaS and PaaS to help customers enhance the speed of execution and improve business performance,” said Wipro’s global infrastructure services head Kiran Desai.
Based on the needs of its customers, Wipro can provide an integrated cloud solution, leveraging its boundaryless data centre and Oracle’s cloud platform.
“Cloud represents a huge opportunity for our customers to increase innovation and agility, while enabling reduced cost and complexity,” said Oracle Vice-President Sanjay Sinha.
The Oracle cloud marketplace offers an intuitive user interface to browse and search for applications and services, as well as user ratings and reviews to help customers determine the best business solutions for their organisation. (IANS)
