Bengaluru–Global software major Wipro Ltd on Wednesday announced a multi-year deal to provide workplace services to global energy firm Vestas Wind Systems in Denmark.
“As a strategic IT partner, we will deploy our proprietary workplace solution at Vestas for its digital transformation,” the city-based IT firm said in a statement here.
The workplace software will enable a superior computing experience, while ensuring data security and offering users access to applications — anywhere, anytime and on any device.
“Our solution will provide Vestas’ 20,000 employees across 75 countries the world over with user-centric, collaborative and energy efficient workplace having smart systems to boost business agility,” the statement noted.
The smart systems include predictive monitoring for faster service restoration, automation and preventive self-heal to minimise service disruptions and 24×7 end-user infrastructure.
“The engagement will make us leverage our understanding of manufacturing with workplace transformation capabilities to improve end-user experience for Vestas’ employees,” Wipro president N.S. Bala asserted in the statement.
Vestas chief information officer Torben Hoeg Bonde said the Danish firm had chosen Wipro as a strategic partner for a future-proof workplace platform, with an internet-centric architecture to its employees in the digital era.
