Mumbai– While almost all Indian businesses have started their digital transformation journey, only a third have reached maturity, said a study on Monday.
One of the major factors holding back digital transformation and restricting Cloud adoption in the country is complexity and confusion about the IT environment, according to the “State of IT Complexity in India” report by desktop virtualisation leader Citrix.
“The study found a
strong correlation between the increasing levels of complexity felt
within organisations, and the delay of digital transformation maturity,”
Makarand Joshi, Area Vice President and Country Head, India
Subcontinent, Citrix, said in a statement.
“The future has
never looked more complex. IT leaders are being asked not only to
deliver IT services, but also to improve business outcomes,” Joshi
added.
The findings showed that nearly 40 per cent of Indian businesses believe their IT environments are more or significantly more complex than two years ago.
For the study, Citrix commissioned The Glass Elevator to conduct a survey of 1,764 business and technology decision makers from various industries and government organisations in the Asia Pacific region and Japan.
The survey was run between July 23 and August 31, 2018 across Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea and Singapore. (IANS)
